Customer
The customer undertakes to comply with these and merchant-specific terms when purchasing products and services in the Electric Bicycle Centre's online services.
2. Ordering
General conditions
The prices presented in the online service are subject to VAT.
We apply dynamic pricing in rental. Prices are place and time dependent and vary monthly, weekly and daily.
We sell products to adult individuals as well as corporate customers.
We reserve the right to change prices.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. Before ordering, the customer must familiarize himself with the delivery terms in force at the time.
3. Electric bike center rental bike rental agreement
The rental terms and rental rules for the electric bicycle center's electric-assisted bicycle are defined in the rental terms of this rental agreement and in Finnish legislation.
General rental conditions
These rental conditions apply to the electric bicycle rental services provided by Ju-Ka Trading Oy, Sähköpyöräkeskus and Ebike Rental Helsinki (Later in the terms “Sähköpyöräkeskus”) to its customers. By signing a rental agreement or making a rental online, you agree to abide by these rental terms.
The customer is obliged to follow the safety instructions in accordance with the safety instructions throughout the rental period. The safety instructions are described in the final section of these terms in Appendix 1. and in writing at the rental point.
Rented electric bikes and accessories are the property of the Electric Bike Center. Accessories for electric bikes include a helmet and a lock with one key as standard. Accessories can be added at an additional cost.
The rental price must be paid in advance before the start of the rental in the Sähköpyöräkeskus store at Pikkupurontie 2, 00880 Helsinki or on the website. The rental price is based on a pre-agreed price.
The rental starts and ends at the agreed time. If the Lessee wishes to extend the rental period, this must be agreed with the Electric Bicycle Center before the end of the rental period. If the Renter returns the bikes late or does not return them at all, the Electric Bike Center may charge an additional rent for them within the delayed period until the time of return or discovery.
The renter must present a valid photo ID at the time of booking (passport, driver's license or ID card) or make a security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to the Renter in connection with the return of the wheels, if no damage has occurred to the bike.
If the customer wishes to cancel the reservation, it is considered to take effect as soon as the Electric Bicycle Center receives information about the cancellation.
4. Getting Started with the Services and Reservations
Reservations for the services of the electric bike center can be made online at ebikerentalhelsinki.com, sahkopyorakeskus.fi or alternatively on site or by phone, in which case a service fee of € 1 will be charged during the peak period from the beginning of June to the end of August. Group bookings are made through a separate group sales customer service or directly from the website. Customer data is only used in the operation of the Electric Bicycle Center.
The person making the booking or the company he represents (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”) is responsible for the booking made and the customer is bound by these Terms of Service and Security. The customer's reservation is always binding, and obliges full payment for the reserved service or product.
The customer must always arrive on time, no later than 20 minutes before the start of the booking or in accordance with other instructions.
5. Customer Liability
The customer accepts these terms of service and safety when booking a rental bike for the Electric Bicycle Center. The terms and conditions are available from customer service points, the Electric Bicycle Centre's website and the online store. When using the services, the customer must register their visit through customer service. When using the services, you must act attentively towards other users and follow the instructions given by the Electric Bicycle Center and pay special attention to safety issues.
The customer is responsible for any damage and loss to the electric bike and accessories during the rental.
The customer is obliged to compensate for damage to electric bikes or accessories according to their actual value whenever the damage is caused by the customer himself.
In case of theft, natural phenomenon or fire, the wheels are insured. In this case, the customer is responsible for their deductible (€ 1000). By signing, the customer confirms that he is fully aware of these rental conditions.
If the electric bike is returned after the agreed deadline, the customer will pay an additional fee according to the price list (10 € / h) and a late fee of 19 €. If the customer returns the bike before the agreed deadline, he is not entitled to a refund of the rental price paid for the rental.
If the equipment has not been returned at the end of the rental period and no extension of the rental period has been agreed with the landlord and the lessee cannot be contacted, the police will be notified and a criminal report will be made.
The customer declares that he undertakes to take care of the electric bike so that the bike is always locked when the electric bike is unattended and all the detachable accessories (battery lock keys and cycling helmet) are then with the customer.
The renter is responsible for any damage caused. The Landlord shall not be liable for any damage, personal or property damage or any other possible damage caused directly or indirectly to the rental property itself, its user or third parties during the rental period, and shall not be liable for any such damage.
The services of the electric bike center do not include insurance. The customer must take care of the necessary accident insurance, which also covers road traffic injuries and other damage caused by negligence. The Electric Bicycle Center recommends that the customer and each user check their insurance before participating in the Electric Bicycle Center's services.
The lessee undertakes to comply with the traffic rules in force in Finland. The renter must wear his own or an optional cycling helmet in accordance with section 90 of the Finnish Road Traffic Act.
The customer warrants that the Electric Bicycle will not be transported outside the borders of the Kingdom of Finland or more than 100 km from the starting point of the rental, unless otherwise agreed.
6. Liability of the Electric Bicycle Center
The electric bike center offers its users electric-assisted bicycles for rent. The electric bike center ensures that the donating bicycles and accessories are in proper condition and safe for users. We check the condition of the equipment and the environment on a daily basis. The electric bike center is bound by all the obligations mentioned in these terms of service.
The electric bike center is responsible for providing the agreed equipment at the beginning of the rental period and that the battery level of the electric bike is over 80%.
The electric bike center is responsible for the good technical condition of the electric bike and assures that the electric bike is serviced regularly and safe to ride.
The electric bike center reserves the right not to rent an electric bike without explanation if the customer does not seem reliable, seems unable to ride the electric bike or takes care of the electric bike safely.
The Electric Bicycle Center shall not be liable for any personal injury or property damage to the customer, users or their property during the use of the Electric Bicycle Center's services, unless the damage has occurred due to the Electric Car Wheel Centre's serious negligence.
The Electric Bicycle Center shall not be liable for any personal injury or property damage resulting from improper use of the equipment and facilities or violation of instructions, written rules, and / or standards issued by the staff.
7. Cancellation by the customer.
The customer is entitled to a 100% refund of the prepayment when the cancellation is made 24 hours before the start of the booking.
If the booking is canceled 6 to 24 hours before the start of the booking, the customer is entitled to a 50% refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the start of the booking will not be refunded.
8. Cancellation of services by the Electric Bicycle Center
The electric bike center will not hand over the reserved bike to an intoxicated person or who is suspected of intoxicated. A person who is not handed over the bike due to intoxication will also not be refunded any advance payment for the rental.
The reservation can also be canceled if the customer is suspected of being unable to comply with the Finnish Road Traffic Act or if the general condition is otherwise an obstacle to safe cycling. In these cases, the prepayment will be refunded to the customer.
The electric bicycle center's offer and opening hours will be expanded and reduced as customer numbers change and according to weather conditions. If weather conditions affect the safety of activities, the Electric Bicycle Center has the right to stop and close operations in general or for individual activities.
In the event of partial or complete closure due to hazardous weather conditions, power outages, extensive pipeline failure, fire or other similar Force Majeure reasons, customers and users will not be entitled to refunds for unused or interrupted services. The Electric Bicycle Center, according to its best efforts, always strives to offer the possibility of transfer due to weather conditions for reservations canceled by the Electric Bicycle Center
The Electric Bicycle Center has the right to cancel non-group bookings (hereinafter “private bookings”) due to duplication of events no later than 7 days before the start of the booking.
9. Electric Bicycle Center Safety Conditions
To ensure the safe pursuit of bicycle rental, we require that you go through the following terms and conditions carefully.
The customer is responsible for reading and complying with the Electric Bicycle Centre's terms of service and safety. Staff at the electric bike center can provide additional information on request.
The customer and the user are aware of the risks associated with road traffic that could lead to serious injury. The customer and the user understand and are aware that weather conditions, such as rain, fog and wind, may change unexpectedly and unforeseen, affecting the safe use of the electric bicycle.
The customer must be able to steer the bicycle safely, taking into account the Road Traffic Act
The customer's ability to react must not be impaired
The customer declares that he is in good physical condition and is not aware of any health barrier that may affect attendance or safety during the rental period.
The customer is not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and does not enjoy them during the rental period.
The customer rents bicycles and accessories of their own free will. The user is responsible for ensuring that the bicycles and accessories are in the same condition as when the rental started.
The customer and the user confirm that they have read the service and safety conditions of the Electric Bicycle Center and undertake to comply with them and the instructions given separately by the staff.
If the customer or user has any questions after receiving the instructions, it is his or her own responsibility to ask the Electric Bicycle Center employee for more information.
10. Error Messages and Disputes
Any remarks and error messages regarding the rental of an electric bike must be made immediately directly to the contact person of the Electric Bike Center. If the customer has not been in contact with the Electric Bicycle Center about possible grievances at the latest at the end of the rental, he loses the right to any compensation.

Prior to the start of the rental, the customer and / or the user agrees to read these operating instructions and to comply with these instructions during the entire rental period by accepting the terms of service and safety.
During the rental, always follow the Road Traffic Act and any other local guidelines and rules.
Only drive on roads that are suitable for safe cycling.
When braking, always use two brake devices (left and right brake lever)
Do not ride the bike in places where the tire drop is 15cm or more.
Only ride at a speed that allows you to control the behavior of the bike and stop the bike without brakes if necessary
Always use a speed that is safe for your own driving skills and suitable for other traffic and the environment.
Always wear a helmet when driving
Always use the light when driving
Always lock the bike with the lock that comes with the bike to a fixed object when you release your grip on the bike.
